All Eyes on You. I-VI

The work is an attempt to communicate the archetypes and mythologies of the human experience: themes of death, beauty, sacrifice, greed, war and violence. Themes that are repeated throughout human history. The title "All Eyes On You" relates to the phenomenon whereby when looking at an artwork intended to recreate and exaggerate the familiar human experience, one would essentially be looking back at themselves through the lens of an artist's independent interpretation, in this case my own. The use of skateboards is a reference to the subversive nature of youth and subculture....a nod at freedom, youth and the self. It relates to the incredibly individual act of skateboarding...you can only do it by yourself, there are no sheep to follow.
